~WELCOME BACK
SOCIAL~ Advisor Mrs. Ham and
chapter officers hosted a welcome back social for new and
prospective members on August 20, 2009. Officers grilled hamburgers
and hot dogs, while members dished up chips, salads, and desserts.
After eating, President Sarah Heermann distributed Programs of Work
and Presidential Packets, which explained the chapter’s activities,
fundraisers, and conferences. Then the officers and members led a
discussion for plans for the 2009-2010 school year. Members enjoyed
leadership activities and FBLA songs.

~JUNIOR HIGH
PRESENTATION~ Chapter
Officers Catrina Krueger and Brooke Parker visited Holyoke Junior
High School for the 2009-2010 school year to give a multimedia
presentation to promote FBLA to incoming freshmen and seventh
graders in hopes of one day establishing a Junior High FBLA Chapter.
This presentation is also used as a tool for recruiting members for
the upcoming school year. |

~CLUB RUSH WEEK~
The rush week was held during
the first week back to school. Officers planned activities that
promoted the club and informed the students of the club’s many
possibilities. Some of the activities included a bulletin board in
the hallway to inform the students of the club’s goals for the year,
flyers and treats in lockers, and a Welcome Back Social. |

~BULLETIN BOARDS~
The bulletin boards welcomed students back to school and encouraged
them to join FBLA. They promote upcoming FBLA events and showcase
the great projects that our chapter has recently worked on. Results
of district and state competitions are also posted here. |
