~CHAPTER PROJECTS~
During the twelve month journey, our
chapter received much recognition as a result of our planning and
organization of chapter projects and activities.
Our community realizes
the importance of quality health care close to home, and as a result
of our chapter's willingness to collaborate with other community
organizations and help with marketing and fundraising, our community
now has a new hospital. Many of the FBLA members have held their
hands out to the sixth grade students and helped them understand
business concepts as they participated in the year-long Rural
AmeriTowne project. In addition, each
high school student has
an opportunity to win the $1,000 scholarship offered by the
Partnership with Business project. This pinnacle project partnered
our chapter with Computer Etc, Jack’s Bean, PC Telcom and Scholl Oil
and Transport Company to provide four challenges. Through those
challenges, students have learned about our local business community, and
what skills are needed to fulfill the job market when we return from
college. |

~NUMBER OF MEMBERS~
Holyoke FBLA is a different
organization than it was just a few short years ago. We have
learned the importance of recruiting members, because alone we
cannot have a successful team. We have a total of 43 members this
year, many who are repeat members. Three
members completed the national
Membership Madness program, which
means we have 15 members who enjoyed the benefits of FBLA for the
first time. |
