This series spotlights junior and senior interns who leave the traditional classroom for one or more  class period a day and learn what life will be like once they hit the work force. Internship HighlightsEdel interns with Mrs. Jablonski during first hour Junior High Physical Education. He learning about teaching and coaching.
What have you learned?"As a coach, you need to be tough on your athletes , but in a way that makes them better, not shuts them down. You need to make sure they are in shape, learning the plays or moves they will need to [do], and making sure they still try in school. Even if their priorities are the sports they are doing. Supporting your students is another huge part of coaching, because if they aren't motivated, they most likely will not perform well."
Career Exploration"I learned that care a lot more about students than students think. Students may think [their] teachers do not really care about their students since they might be 'mean' or tough on them, but the teachers only want what is best for the students, and sometimes being tough is the only way to do that."
