Class of 2021 Announces Prom Plans

A virtual Prom will happen on May 2, 2020. The Junior Class hopes that this adaptation to the annual formal dance will help to bring joy in this time of uncertainty and unusual life events.

The Prom Court and Grand March

The Junior Class is pleased to announce the Prom Court. Nominated by their classmates to be the candidates for Prom King and Queen, voting is currently taking place to see who will have the crown and tiara delivered to their home.

Prom King Candidates (in alphabetical order):

Joe Beckner

Erick Marroquin

Aaron Sierra

Prom Queen Candidates (in alphabetical order):

Rylee Oakley

Kylie Purkeypile

Hayley Van Overbeke

Because the School District has cancelled all activities at the school and is practicing the State of Colorado's Safer at Home Guidelines, there will not be a Grand March. However, the community is invited to visit at 7pm on May 2nd to see a tribute video to the Prom Court and also find out who will be the Prom King and Queen.

Dinner and Dance

We would ask all Juniors, Seniors, and their parents to come up with creative ways to celebrate the prom at home. The theme is Diamonds are Forever. We would hate for those dresses to go left unused. Guys, stop gaming with your homies for a few hours and have dinner with your lady over Zoom or Skype. Parents, take some pictures or videos of the kids celebrating at HOME. Just remember, that social distancing is still a thing.

  • Stay home as much as possible.
  • Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently and don’t touch your face.
  • Wear a face covering or mask when you leave your home.
  • Connect with neighbors and loved ones virtually.

Send you pictures and videos to for inclusion in the “Official Prom Video” to be released the week after prom. These students deserve a special prom. Let's make it happen with a little technology and a lot of imagination.
