HTI spotlight

Through the Holyoke Homegrown Talent Initiative students get the opportunity to explore career choices outside of the traditional classroom. This series spotlights junior and senior interns who leave the traditional classroom for one or more  class period a day and learn what life will be like once they hit the work force. Internship HighlightsBryson interns at Holyoke Fitness Center.
What do you do?When at my internship. These are some of my responsibilities: Clean the gym, help keep the gym safe, put equipment together, sign member up if needed, make sure people are paying members
What has been your focus?"I have practiced numerous communication skills, I have demonstrated this when Trisha texts me to do something that day needs to be done. This can be anything from cleaning, to building some new equipment for the fitness center. I like when I have an assigned thing that needs to be done. I have also communicated with the cleaning lady that comes in. We communicate about what needs to be cleaned."
