Through the Holyoke Homegrown Talent Initiative students get the opportunity to explore career choices outside of the traditional classroom. This series spotlights junior and senior interns who leave the traditional classroom for one or more class period a day and learn what life will be like once they hit the work force. | Internship Highlights | Ashton interns at the Holyoke Marketplace, with the ability for flexible scheduling, Ashton is able to intern four hours each day. |
| What do you do? | "When at my internship, these are some of my responsibilities: Unloading shipments onto store shelves, load back stock on to carts and into the trucks, work register, courtesy for customers." |
| What has been your focus? | "I have gotten along with my coworkers every shift I have. I am able to get my work done in a timely manner, as well as done properly. My coworkers make the environment a fun, interesting, entertaining place to work. All of that is a good thing, seeing as there is lot of partnering up to do a the work place." |
