Internship HighlightsIsaiah is currently interning with the Holyoke Police Department and the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce. His is also completing his phlebotomy certification through the National Healthcare Association.
What do you do for the Chamber?"In my time with the Chamber of Commerce so far, we have put newsletters together, talked about future events, and had gone around to some of the businesses around town to collect corn hole boards for the monthly corn hole fundraiser tournaments. I also attended a lunch meeting. at the school and was introduced as the Chamber's intern."
What do you do for the HPD?"I have been able to ride along with Police Chief Doug Bergstrom every morning. We meet at the police station and then do school zone patrol. He has taught me how to plug in the calls for service in the Casewear system on the computer of the patrol cars. I have been able to attend some calls too which has taught me a lot about the profession."
