The program emcee was Jerry Schemmel, KOA Radio Broadcaster for the Colorado Rockies.  Avery Griggs, Rockies professional scouting assistant, spoke about minor league farm system and their pro scouting department.  Jeff Benner, Sr. Director of Tickets, talked about advertising and marketing, and Sr. Director of Food Services, John McKay, spoke about hospitality management and how his job was to oversee every single vendor at Coors Field.  Jose Nieto, head of engineering for the Rockies, conveyed the difficult job in maintaining a building that is supposed to last another 20+ years.  The remaining speakers included Megan Tynecki, manager of RockiesVision, and Sarena Espinoza, manager of Rockies Community Affairs and Youth Programs.  Megan oversees all stadium content, and Sarena is responsible for Rockies community events.  The speakers talked a lot about how internships helped each one of them find a job they loved and how internships gave their personal careers a jumpstart.\r\n

Upon conclusion of the program, students were able to spend time shopping for Rockies gear, get some ballpark hotdogs, and watch pre-game warmups.  Students walked away with balls hit into the stands and three students were even able to get autographs on their balls from Nolan Jones.  They enjoyed watching the Rockies beat the Cubs and even got on the big screen!\r\n
