18 singers make select choir

Select Choir auditions have already been held. Good job to everyone who auditioned. There are 18 members from 7-12 grade who have been chosen by the director Mrs. Dalton. Mrs. Dalton said that sometimes the select choir performs for local groups around town, and she hopes they have a chance to do it this year!


FFA preps for range judging

FFA range judging is on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in New Raymer. the Plant Science class students will be the ones attending this contest since they have been preparing for the last five weeks. At this contest there will be a plant ID portion and a range site evaluation. For the plant evaluation portion of this contest students will have to be able to identify 60 plants. For the range site part, students will have to identify plants and the condition of the range they are on. They will also have to calculate the stocking rate of the Area Based on their conclusions.

Highway cleanup has big impact

FFA held a highway clean up on Sunday, Sept. 17 FFA member Cash Weber said that there were about 20 people at the event, which is more than they have had in the past. He also said they picked up about 8-10 full bags of trash. Weber enjoys being in FFA because it helps with real life situations, speaking, and many more different jobs and opportunities.
