FCCLA plans the Trick or Trot

The Trick or Trot FCCLA fundraiser is a 5K run or walk on Saturday, Oct. 7. As Elly Brown said, they are trying to raise awareness for dementia, Alzheimer’s, and a network training. Brown encourages the Holyoke citizens to go get a paper and sign up at the front desk. Brown would also like to remind the participants to wear fun costumes and win prizes.

FFA range judging is a success

The FFA range judging was held in New Raymer on Tuesday, Sep. 26. FFA member Leah Struckmeyer said that there were about 10 Holyoke FFA members that attended the judging, and all of them placed getting second as a chapter. Struckmeyer also said that the judging is a lot of fun and a lot of people learn useful skills if anyone would like to go into range management.

FFA conference helps develop leadership skills

Mrs. Strecker explained that the FFA leadership conference is a conference with different workshops put together by different facilitators. The conference is to help students grow as leaders. The FFA conference is for FFA members grades 10-12. The conference is going to be held at CSU in Fort Collins on Saturday, Oct. 7.
