Over 60 Holyoke FBLA recently traveled to NJC in Sterling to compete at the District 4 conference, with the hope of placing high enough to earn a chance to compete at State FBLA in Denver on April 1.
Ben Kleve, District 4 State Officer, was in charge of the event, with a record number of over 500 students competing in our district alone. The day started off with opening session and workshops including Applications of AI, put on by Holyoke President and District 4 Historian Tayla Martin. Upon completion of the competitions and workshops, keynote speaker Bart Berkey spoke to the students and shared inspiration and life lessons for success. One portion included him encouraging these attendees to give themselves a little break, remove some of the pressure, and simply admit to "doing their best" and realize that they are "doing great."
In closure of the conference, awards were given. The following students placed high enough to qualify to attend State FBLA April 1-3 at the Gaylord in Denver.
