Twenty junior high students traveled to Wiggins, Colorado, yesterday to compete in the Generation Schools Network/Ogallala Commons Entrepreneurship Fair. Students competing included Eva Schlachter, Sophia Daniel, Kianna Sanchez, Sophia Gonzalez, Brandon Lopez, Leroy Lee, Gael Ramirez, Jake McCarty, Izaak Hayes, Raia Sprague, Katie Cure, Cruse Weber, Christian Sameniego, Tenley Becker, Aubree Kammer, Ian Cure, Lili Vasquez, and Levi Clayton.
Holyoke competed against 36 other junior high groups from Denver, Wiggins, Brush, and others. There were also approximately 36 high school teams.
Two of Holyoke's businesses made it into the finals--Ian Cure with Buff Boards, and Lili Vasquez and Levi Clayton with Happy Hands. Lili and Levi ended up placing FIRST and received $1,250! Thank you Ogallala Commons and Generation Schools Network for getting donations from local businesses to help fund these future entrepreneurs!
Below are flyers with each of Holyoke's junior high business products. They continue to sell their products throughout the school year and possibly longer. Please reach out to them to make a purchase.
