Holyoke Chamber of Commerce is recognizing students who go above and beyond in their efforts to RISE to Excellence.
The following students have been selected for February Students of the Month.
Junior High: Chriastian Samaniego Nieto
Christian was nominated by a classmates.
Christian is always on task, works very hard, and gets good grades. He does many sports and works hard to help his team. He is kind to others and makes other students smile. He is also very humble. Christian is overall an amazing student and deserves to be student of the month.he is very respectful and always putting in extra work
He is nice.
Senior High School: Alexis Nelson
Brandon was nominated by Mrs. Davis.
Alexis is always a leader in the classroom, stays positive and on task. She is helpful no matter what random task I put her up to in choir class and is definitely invaluable in keeping some of her peers on task when I'm working with one group at a time. She's a ray of sunshine and such a joy to have in my class!
Additionally, in conjunction with the Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School's Youth Connection work and the Board of Education's desire to recognize students at board meetings that demonstrate exceptional academics and behavior a Dragon Coin was designed by the administration to be given to students each month at a school board meeting.
