Being a principal means making a difference every day. During October, National Principals Month, we celebrate the profound impact our principals have on students, staff, and the community.

Mrs. Andrea Kammer, our elementary school principal, has dedicated her career to teaching older elementary children with a focus on math. Her infectious smile brightens the school as she never misses an opportunity to greet and check in with everyone. Her compassionate leadership profoundly influences both students and staff, making a significant difference in their lives. We are grateful for all she does.

Mrs. Angela Powell, the principal of our JR/SR High School, spent her teaching years as an English teacher and later served as a counselor. Her commitment to addressing the social and emotional needs of staff and students is a hallmark of her leadership. She is deeply invested in ensuring students graduate with the skills necessary for success in life, including interpersonal skills.

Together, Mrs. Kammer and Mrs. Powell create a welcoming and nurturing environment in the Holyoke school district. They genuinely care for people of all ages, making everyone feel at home during school events. Their teamwork makes Holyoke schools a wonderful place for education and community engagement.
