Holyoke High School FBLA chapter and project leaders Lauren Herman, Ethan Schneller, and Tayla Martin have been busy this semester giving 7th graders lessons about the importance of helping others through community service.
Some of the lessons chapter members taught were about the meaning of community service, setting project goals, and building trust with each other. The students needed a project they could do that would involve all fifty of them, so they decided to split into two groups. One group would get the community garden ready for planting and the other group would help prepare the course at the Holyoke Golf Course. The students enjoyed successfully implementing their project on April 1.
