students listening to a presentation

Ogallala Commons hosted the Commonwealth Academy for 10th grade students. The Academy is a set of activities to engage youth in exploring the key assets of their communities and explore career paths within their community. Students participated in activities and heard from local businesses about different career options right here in Holyoke. Presentations were given in the High School Center of Innovation and the students also traveled to Melissa Memorial for further presentations.

In addition, Ogallala Commons has several upcoming events they encourage students to participate in, including the Youth E-Fair and summertime Internships.

We are very grateful for the time and dedication our community gives to our youth and helping them develop skills and look at different career paths.
