Through the Holyoke Homegrown Talent Initiative students get the opportunity to explore career choices outside of the traditional classroom. This series spotlights junior and senior interns who leave the traditional classroom for one or more class period a day and learn what life will be like once they hit the work force. | What have you learned? | "Communication is a skill that I have had to use often. With Karina, I have to communicate with her to see when we are going to show homes. During the showings, communicating the the way I deliver myself is key for the buyer to feel comfortable and welcome." |
| What has been your focus? | "Working on my VanEd course has helped me be my own time manager. I have to manage my lessons so that I will have them all completed when I turn eighteen and can receive my license." |
| Have you been able to network? | "I have been able to connect with so many other people in the real estate industry [and that] has been helpful. I have meet many in the industry that have given me advise and possible future job opportunities." |
