Through the Holyoke Homegrown Talent Initiative students get the opportunity to explore career choices outside of the traditional classroom. This series spotlights junior and senior interns who leave the traditional classroom for one or more  class period a day and learn what life will be like once they hit the work force. Internship HighlightsTyson interns at Sprague Brothers Transportation.
What have you learned?"Some things I have learned and been able to work on while at my internship include:
*How to communicate with a person you respect
*You have to show up to work whenever you are asked
*How to respect
*Teamwork and how to work with you other co-workers
*Patience"
What has been your focus?"The easy busy work teaches you a lot of life lessons. For example, when you do something you do not want to do you have to learn how to do it with a good attitude. When you do these things it takes a lot of time and patience. It takes a lot of time because you have to remember all the parts and pieces to everything and where they go.
Some of the things I have done this past month at my internship:
*Sweeping the shop
*Changing tires
*Scooping snow
*Take apart a head
*Hook up trailers
*Take out a transmission"
