On Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, the Holyoke School Board approved a change to the exhibit that is part of policy IC/ICA-E, the 2022-2023 district calendar. This new exhibit indicates the change of the spring graduation date from May 21st, 2023, to May 14th, 2023.
\r\nA potential change had been discussed since June of 2022, after seniors around the state of Colorado were asked to choose between post-season CHSAA activities and attending their high school graduations CHSAA published its calendar after the district approved and published the district calendar last spring, and again there are potential conflicts that the original graduation date had with post-season CHSAA activities such as Regional Boys Baseball, State Girls Golf, and Boys & Girls State Track.
\r\nIt is the hope of the School Board, the Administration Team, Coaches, and staff that a change of the 2023 Graduation date early in the fall would have less negative impacts on seniors and their families as they plan than in the spring if a potential date change was considered.
