
Our art students have the unique opportunity to work with professional mural artist, Carlos Fresquez, to create a mural of our own at HHS. Can't wait to see the finished product.



Barnyard Day was a huge success. Thank you to the FFA students who shared their passion and taught the elementary students so well. Thanks to all the teachers who supported the event as well.

The Kindergarten students got ready early for barnyard day with a surprise visitor to their classroom.


Mrs Bieber reviewed pathos, ethos and logos with her English 1 students using a slide deck they created.

Physical science student learned about convection by making their own lava lamps









2nd graders had words that had blanks for a silent letter. The missing letter was on another paper. They threw them like snowballs. Once they were all mixed up from the snowball fight, students picked up the snowballs and had to match the words and missing silent letters.





The 7th grade students are working on the human body. Mrs. Hunter had them draw a body and label certain parts and draw what they looked like and where they thought they belonged.



The halls of the JR/SR High School were attacked by hearts to show they everyone is loved at our school.

Mrs. Hines class was in the lab testing the pH and glucose levels of milk when combined with outside chemicals.


Students in Mrs. Mosenteen's ESL class were listening for certain vowels sounds and then categorized the words they heard. This creative use of their desks helps the students stay engaged.


We are so proud of Ben Kleve for the work he did helping organize the FBLA District Leadership Conference.


Students in Mrs. Hulse geometry class did mad libs with their class warm up. They went around the class working on problems taped to the wall and came up with this story.

These students have demonstrated growth or achievement and reached the 75th percentile in either their NWEA or DIBLES, middle of the year assessments compared to previous assessments. They represent 77% of the elementary student body. Way to go Dragons!


This year Mrs. Kleve's 8th grade English class wrote postcards to 49 state and one country sharing great things about Colorado. They got their postcard reply from Morocco. "Here's looking at you kid!"



4th grade starting fraction units play games. They had a max number of chances (denominator) with their number of successes (numerator).






6th grade girls loved their swag from R.O.X. (Ruling Our eXperience) girls empowerment group they will be participating in for the remainder of the year. This part of the transition to the Junior High that they will make next year.
