Holyoke Elementary Field Day 2017 is cancelled due to forecasted weather. We are unable to reschedule this year because of the many other events already on the calendar for next week.

Third graders used their observation and measurement skills to classify rocks and minerals.



Second Graders read about a leaky house. Given a variety of materials, kids were then challenged to build a model house that would not leak. Students used water to test and evaluate the designs.





Kindergarten students enjoyed an educational tour of the local dairy followed by a fun picnic lunch.

Grace Dille qualified for the first ever 3A State Girls Golf Tournament May 22 - 23.

First grade students learned about the history of Holyoke as they visited the Phillips County Museum and Pleasant Prairie Schoolhouse.




Holyoke fifth-graders participated in Ag Fest on Thursday May 4. Colorado State University Extension agents provided educational lectures and hands-on activities related to agriculture.

The Holyoke Bands rocked the auditorium as they demonstrated their musical talents at the concert directed by Mr Lampkin.

The Holyoke Choral program hosted a concert in celebration of music and dance on May 4th. Special thanks to Mrs Dalton, Mr Kramer and all the students who contributed their talents.

The Lady Dragons had a great showing at the Regional golf tournament at Highland Meadows-Windsor. Grace Dille qualified for state.

The Lady Dragons Golf team hosted the annual Holyoke Invitational Tournament. The Holyoke Varsity Team won first place.

Bob and Becky Bledsoe from Wray visited Holyoke to share their fossil discoveries with the fourth graders. They found a Triceratops skull on their land in South Dakota. The students were in awe!

Members of the staff and JR/SR High School student body participated in College Friday.


Baseball games for tomorrow have been moved to Tuesday.

Ms. Brown's High School Animal Science class taught the fourth graders about the dairy process. The fourth graders were very attentive when they found out there was ice cream involved!





The Elementary Art Exhibit Open House is a hit! If you don't make it to view the exhibit tonight the artwork will still be on display until May 20 at the Prairie Winds Art Center.
