
Mr. French's Seminar class played a game where they had to react to words and try to catch their partner off guard as part of their lesson.

Students in Mrs. Mallari's Principles of Finance Management class had the opportunity to hear from Shannon Schlachter of Shay Realty about the process of securing a home mortgage. The district is extremely grateful for all of our community partners who strive to support our students both inside and outside of the classroom.

We want to #GiveThanks to Mrs. Dalton for taking the JH Choir students to Julesburg yesterday. We are so happy that these students had an opportunity to learn more about singing and share their talents with others. Great job!



The students are getting ready for League Choir. The concert is tonight at Julesburg School @ 6:30pm. It schools be streamed on Julesburg's Facebook page.


After 6th graders finished a math assignment on ratios and rate, they play a game of chess to work on strategies and critical thinking skills.

Yesterday students from the district's youth connection team attended a convening hosted by Colorado Education Initiative. At the event, students had the opportunity to interact with students from other schools in Colorado and develop a student-led project for increasing school connectedness in our district.

2nd Grade finished their history unit in social studies and went on a history walking tour in Holyoke. Students observed historical buildings around town. They were amazed that Holyoke has buildings that are over 100 years old including our Peerless Theater that opened in 1919.

Kindergarten students work with their 5th grade buddies on their literacy skills on a regular basis. This is what they worked on this week.

Señorita Varela’s heritage Spanish is class working on English to Spanish words with a little competition.


Mrs. Sprague's 7th grade history students recreated historical artifacts for a class project.



These students participated in Colorado State University's Math day this last week.


5th graders use a cooperative learning game in writing class. It is through idea sharing such as this that our students start to prepare for work outside of the classroom.
