Summer vacation may have started, but the K-12 ESL Department gathered to present information to Holyoke’s school board members on a newly implemented program, Flashlight 360. ESL teachers also shared information pertaining to K-12 ESL Program

On May 23rd, K-6 Elementary students were treated to Snow Cones by the Sunshine Committee as a way to celebrate the end of the school year! Lots of smiling faces and happy students!

During the course of the school year Elementary Staff members hand out SOAR tickets for positive behaviors they see from the students. At the end of the year all the tickets are put together for a large drawing for prizes at the end of the year assembly. Way to go students!

This year the Elementary staff edged out the 6th graders in kickball (with the help of some ringers the teachers brought in). What a wonderful tradition to end the school year! Good luck next year in Junior High School.

Congratulations to the fifth and sixth grade poets who were chosen for publication in the Creative Communication spring contest!

In learning to sew zippers and button holes, Mrs. Ortner’s fashion class practiced by creating fidget mats for elderly people with dementia. The mats will be donated to Regent Park Nursing Home.
